Accommodation
To simplify proceedings, a block booking has been made at the hotel. Invited and registered delegates just need to provide their name and use the reference ‘COUNTER Conference’ during check-in. The cost of the hotel stay will be paid for by the conference organisers but delegates will be required to provide a credit card during check-in (for incidentals not covered by the organisers). Delegates will not be charged for their stay at the conference.

Sustenance
Your stay at the conference will include breakfast and buffet lunch and evening food on Monday 22nd March and Tuesday 23rd March. Unfortunately, the cost of the evening meal at the end of the conference on Wednesday 24th March is not covered by the COUNTER project. However, the cost will be extremely reasonable. Refreshments will be made available throughout the day.
Monday 22nd: Wine Reception (Cloud 23 Bar – 23rd floor of the Hilton hotel)
- Wine reception and evening buffet (optional drinks are, unfortunately, not covered by the organisers)
Tuesday 23rd March: Conference Meal (Stock Restaurant, Manchester)
- Evening meal including complimentary wine (please note: optional drinks are not covered by the conference organisers)
- Evening entertainment provided by Paul Pashley (Swing music)
Wednesday 24th March: Curry on Manchester’s famous Curry Mile
- Curry Evening at the Lal Haweli Restaurant on Manchester’s Famous Curry Mile (please note: the cost of this meal is not covered by the conference organisers but prices are extremely reasonable)
Conference Programme
The latest version of the conference programme can be found here. The keynote and parallel sessions will take place on the conference floor of the Hilton. Members of the Counter team will be on hand if you have any questions on the day.
Internet Access
The organisers have arranged free and secure wi-fi internet access during the conference period. Unfortunately, due to restrictions within the hotel, wi-fi access is limited to the conference floor and associated rooms. While the organisers would have liked to provide internet access elsewhere within the hotel, the cost proved too prohibitive. However, ethernet access is available in all guest rooms but the cost of such access will not be covered by the COUNTER project.
