- Explore the implications and possible impacts of these models
- Assess implications of these models for industry and policy
- Detail possible cultural, social and research consequences of these models
Researchers are reviewing models of intellectual property and current legislation concerning IP across Europe and further afield. Specifically, they are exploring:
- Policies adopted towards counterfeiting
- Functioning of legal mechanisms promoting access to information and knowledge-sharing
Outcomes
A number of key reports will be presented:
- A review of models for managing intellectual property including international legislation and models adopted in reaction to these models (such as creative commons and open patent licensing
- A report analysing these models and their consequences on innovation, creativity, progress, and the public domain
